Version 0.2 of the site is finally released. It's not much like I planned and instead contains a much improved interface for results and performance. As well as looking better, both sections have click through or drill down. For example, from the inital Best Performances page you can select best performances for a race and then from there, best performances for an athlete.
As much as I would like to spend some time working on the stats page for v0.3, I really need to rework the FFA interface, to get in more data and also to restructure the database somewhat.
Vast improvement Nick. Very intuitive and easy to use. Bit confusing on the date selection though for best year performances : goes from calendar selection to season selection for the older races I think. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHi James. You are correct. When the year/season is changed the page reverts to the default query of that page. This is not ideal and to fix it I need to introduce something called session state that would allow the current query to be rerun with the new selected year value. This is part of the plan and should happen soon.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, I need to work out why the formating is wrong when the site is viewed with Google Chrome. Oh the joys of CSS.
